Celebrating 90 Years Yum

Recently we saw the launch of Weet-Bix 90 Years Yum activity to celebrate the 90th birthday of the country’s favourite brekkie. We launched the celebration with a series of simple OOH posters featuring three generations of Weet-Bix lovers (which featured one of Sanitarium’s family members).

We also went out across radio stations with a clever little spot that squeezed nine decades of deliciousness into an entertaining thirty seconds. You can listen here.

Weet-Bix appeared on the AM show, with guests Peter and Alex Hillary – taking us for a trip down memory lane and sharing memories about Sir Edmund’s love of Weet-Bix (with tinned peaches it was revealed). And Mark Richardson shared some very clever insights on the scientific way to eat Weet-Bix and milk. So if you think you’ve got your Weet-Bix munching skills down to a fine art, you better check out the master’s recommendations.

Then Weet-Bix kids Kayla Whitelock and Sarah Hirini and All Blacks Dane Coles, Ardie Savea and Brad Weber shared their Weet-Bix memories with the nation via the AM Show.

Last week we got to see the reaction of Robin, the first of nine lucky New Zealander's to win a year's supply of Weet-Bix.

We had a lot of fun working on this project with Sanitarium and we’re very grateful to be able to share this magic milestone with New Zealand.

If you’d like to know more about how we integrated our activation and PR strategies for Sanitarium's 90 Year birthday celebration, please feel free to give me a call.
